Every build works in Diablo 2: Resurrected. But life gets different as players approach that maximum level of 99. Suddenly, enemies that once took damage from one sword don't even lose a visible sliver of life. A spell that was supposed to freeze enemies in place has them running right through it. Sadly, not all skills are cut out to win during Diablo 2: Resurrected's endgame, but every class has at least one skill that carries them through the top-tier content.
Necromancer - Corpse Explosion
Necromancers that invest all of their points into summoning will find that even maxed-out skeletons and golems don't put a dent in high-level monsters. But when they die, detonating their bodies creates a quantity of damage that surpasses anything they would have done when they were alive. This move is both magical and physical, so creatures immune to one or the other will still take damage.
Sorceress - Teleport
A Sorceress trained in this arcane skill has the ability to traverse the Ether, instantly rematerializing in another location. Without the aid of waypoints or portals, she may teleport anywhere within her immediate vicinity. Though not suitable for larger distances, a Sorceress can make good use of this spell to evade capture or to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. The Sorceress should consider herself lucky that instantly moving from one place to another will not take up an item slot.
Valkyrie - Critical Strike
Among the arsenal of techniques employed by the Amazon warrior is her ability to study opponents carefully and detect any weaknesses. She can then use these deficiencies in her adversary to strike at precisely those areas that will cause the greatest injuries. Because Critical Strike works with any weapon, it is a very useful Amazon skill regardless of build. Critical Strike is potent because it is a Passive skill, so it is always active and combines with any additional skills such as Multiple Shot, Pierce, and so on.
Barbarian - Double Swing
Double Strike allows the user to strike quickly at two different enemies. Double Swing basically doubles the Barbarian's total Attack Speed and chances of threatening targets with Open Wounds, Crushing Blow, etc. Any enemy standing between the Barbarian and the solution to the Cairn Stones will get shredded.
Paladin - Fanaticism
Paladins are blessed (pun intended) with great aura selection but cursed by only being able to use one at a time. When they are all stacked up, Fanaticism is the best value because it boosts a grand total of four attributes: party damage, Paladin damage, attack rating, and attack speed.
Druid - Maul
Maul is a Druid skill in D2R. A Druid in Werebear form uses his mighty paws to rend brutal gashes in the flesh of his enemies. Using this ability, the fury of his assault increases with every opponent he kills. This is a "Power-Up" skill, similar to the Assassin Charge-up Skill in that you gain charges with each attack, but different in that you do not need to use another attack to release the charges, Power-up Skills just get stronger and stay that way for a duration and do not consume accumulated charges on hit.
